Community Rebuilders is dedicated to ending homelessness in Kent County. We utilize a strengths-based, housing first model with a goal of rehousing persons experiencing a housing crisis in under 14 days. Please see below a brief description of current projects at Community Rebuilders.
Community Rebuilders operates five permanent supportive housing programs dedicated to providing long-term rental assistance to homeless disabled adults and their families.
These programs include Housing Solutions, LOFT, HEROES, Tenant Based Rental Assistance and Sponsor Based Rental Assistance. These programs provide on-site supportive services in addition to community supports identified by the participants.
Community Rebuilders operates four housing programs dedicated exclusively to serving our Veterans and their families.
These programs include Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF), Veteran Residential Services (VRS), Veteran Heights, and HEROES. These programs offer a combination of rapid rehousing and prevention assistance, along with transitional housing and permanent supportive housing.
Community Rebuilders provides prevention and rapid rehousing assistance through three housing programs. These include Keys First, Home, and the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG).
These programs provide short-term rental assistance, usually 6 months or less, to provide the boost an individual or family needs to get back on their feet.
The HOPWA program provides housing and services to address the specific needs of persons with HIV/Aids.
