Ending Homelessness

Proven Solutions to Ending Homelessness

Community Rebuilders is dedicated to ending homelessness in Kent County. We utilize a strengths-based, housing first model with a goal of rehousing persons experiencing a housing crisis in 14 days or less.

Community Rebuilders Housing Resource Specialists create person centered, strength-based case management plans with each participant. These plans focus on obtaining housing quickly and setting goals such as increasing income, achieving housing stability and other personal goals.

Our community housing agencies participate in coordinated assessment through the Salvation Army’s Housing Assessment Program. Program descriptions on the services page provide a brief explanation of program components and referral sources. Please contact the United Way at 211 to begin the assessment and referral process for programs that receive referrals via the Housing Assessment Program.
