At Community Rebuilders our hearts go out to our community and all people who have been impacted by this public health emergency. We are thankful for our community members working diligently to serve, prevent, plan, organize and heal our community. The wellbeing of our guests and those with no place to call home is our primary concern.
For our community members without housing, the struggle to self-isolate is intense. Lack of a place to call home, lack of access to food, showers and daily essentials is often combined with underlying chronic medical conditions.
We have a dedicated team that is following the latest CDC guidance, federal, state and local health and saftey guidelines.
We are coordinating with our federal, state and local systems and partners.
We have implemented our infectious disease response and control plans.
We have altered our business practices.
We have cancelled all group meetings and events.
We have eliminated walk-in appointments.
We have asked our volunteers to take a break.
We are maintaining critical operations and using virtual and phone meetings whenever possible.
Most importantly, we are still housing those in need of a safe place to call home. We remain ready to serve to the best of our ability and continue to take referrals through our community's coordinated entry. If you need immediate assistance please contact the Housing Assessment Program (HAP) at (616) 458-5840 or call the United Way 211.
