We’re looking for veterans who have experienced housing instability in the past to impact & inform policy, make strategic decisions, and take action as we work to make sure all Veterans have a safe place to call home

What is the VAB?

The Veteran Action Board (VAB) is a committee of Veterans who have lived experience of housing instability and serve in an advocacy capacity at the local, state, and federal levels. In an effort to end homelessness and increase well-being for Veterans in the community, the VAB’s primary goals are to elevate consumer voices in policy discussions, develop consumers as key advocates in important issues related to homelessness, evaluate current best practices, and inform the strategic decision-making of the Continuum of Care (CoC).

The VAB is a subcommittee of the CoC and at least one VAB member has a seat on the CoC Steering Council.

Purpose

To serve as a recommending body to the CoC in order to incorporate consumer feedback within policy, strategic decisions, and action items under the effort to end Veteran homelessness.
