Temporary Accommodations

Our innovative approach to emergency shelter ends homelessness with dignity. Temporary housing accommodations are considered a short-term option for persons experiencing homelessness which does not require a signed lease agreement. Temporary accommodations support flow from a housing crisis to housing stability, while the aim of the system is to produce the most rapid and effective permanent housing connections for those experiencing homelessness.

Emergency shelter should lead to permanent housing. People experiencing homelessness are just like you and I but the social conditions we face are radically different. So is our approach to emergency shelter.

The Housing Connection Center offers a short-term place to stay where a literally homeless household is assisted to obtain permanent housing. Hope and motivation increase at the Housing Connection Center!

We start with safe, welcoming and flexible accommodations. Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Persons experiencing homelessness are welcomed into an environment that is shared, reciprocal in nature and honoring of each persons self-determination.

The Housing Connection Center dispels the belief that temporary  accommodations must be restrictive, confining and dehumanizing.

Optimism has been proven to improve the immune system, prevent chronic disease, and help people cope with unfortunate events. That’s why at the Housing Connection Center visitors can come and go as they please, make their own plans, seek the support they desire, make their own food and decide when to eat, sleep, work and play!
