We believe every Veteran deserves a safe, stable, and secure place to call home. Our work to End Veteran Homelessness has been achieved and maintained by providing comprehensive support, resources, and programs tailored to the unique needs of those who have served our country. Through strategic partnerships, community engagement, and innovative solutions, we are dedicated to ensuring that no Veteran is left without a safe and permanent place to live.

We understand that ending Veteran homelessness requires a multifaceted approach that addresses both immediate housing needs and long-term stability. That’s we’re proud to serve Veterans with a range of programs designed to meet them where they are and guide them toward sustainable independence.

Supportive Services for Veteran Families

The Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program focuses on preventing homelessness among low-income Veteran families and individuals. By providing case management, housing assistance, and temporary financial support, SSVF helps families stay together and maintain stable housing. Contact us at 616 458-5102

Veteran Heights PDO

The Veteran Heights PDO project provides bridge housing for Veterans, giving them an immediate safe place to stay while permanent housing is located. Veterans are also linked to benefits within the VA healthcare system, community resources, and natural supports.

HEROES

The Housing, Employment, Resources, Outreach, and Support (HEROES) project is designed to offer a holistic approach to ending Veteran homelessness. HEROES connects Veterans to permanent supportive housing, increasing their long-term housing stability, income, and self-sufficiency. Veterans are also liked to voluntary supportive services including job training, mental health services, and educational opportunities, empowering them to rebuild their lives.

Veteran Transition In Place

The Veteran Transition in Place (TIP) focuses on assisting Veterans in transitioning from homelessness to stable, permanent housing. This program provides temporary housing and intensive case management, ensuring that Veterans receive the support they need to achieve self-sufficiency. This program also promotes the ability of the Veteran to assume occupancy of the TIP residence as permanent housing.

Veteran Residential Services

Veteran Resource Services (VRS) is a comprehensive support system for Veterans experiencing a housing crisis and who are eligible for VA health care services. Veterans can immediately enter safe and secure housing, with the goal of exiting to permanent housing within 90 days.

Grandview Place

This apartment complex serves Veterans by creating a safe and supportive environment where Veterans can live independently and with dignity. The complex overlooks the Grand River was developed in cooperation with Woda Cooper Companies.

Operation Employment

Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program

The Veterans Employment and Reintegration Program is designed to support Veterans who have recently faced a housing crisis by providing them with the essential tools and resources needed to secure and maintain employment. The program aims to enhance the employability of Veterans through comprehensive job training, personalized career counseling, and a range of supportive services. Tailored job training programs are offered to enhance skills and increase employability, while personalized career counseling helps Veterans identify and pursue suitable employment opportunities. Additionally, the program provides assistance with housing, transportation, and other essential needs to ensure stability and focus on employment goals. Veterans also gain access to job fairs, employer connections, and networking events to facilitate job placement. Ongoing support and follow-up services are provided to ensure long-term success and stability in employment.
